Medical Issues
Medical Shield with Cigarette Calcualtor's 40 different metrics
It makes you foggy:
According to a 2016 study in the Archives of Internal Medicine, issues with memory are linked to smoking. Those who continue to smoke later in life face a greater risk of developing dementia; additionally, the dementia will be developed at a greater rate.
Diabetes:
According to Journal of the American Medical Association, compared to nonsmokers, smokers have a 44% greater chance of developing type 2 diabetes. Additionally, those who smoke large amounts (20 or more cigarettes a day) develop an even greater risk.
Healthy skin:
The heat from the tips of cigarettes can lead to deep wrinkles around the user’s mouth. Because of the constant need to purse the lips when taking a drag, the skin around the mouth becomes loose and begins to sag. Nonsmokers are less likely to experience pre-mature skin aging.
No Sense of Taste:
Smoking can lead to the loss of the senses smell and taste. Without smoking, an individual will find eating to be a more enjoyable experience.
It causes cancer:
According to Thomas Glynn, PhD, director of cancer science and trends and International Cancer Control for the American Cancer Society, there is nothing worse you can do to your body than smoke. Smoking is linked to 15 types of cancer. Overall, male smokers take 13.2 years off their lives while female smokers take of 14.5.

Financial Issues
Save A Pack's money saving advice when you stop smoking
Daily expenses:
The average smoker smokes a pack of cigarettes a day, a single pack costing roughly $7. This adds up to $49 a week and $196 a month. For the same price, you could fill up your car (the average tank size being 12 gallons with gas currently selling at a $3.10 /gallon rate) over 5 times.
Annual expenses:
In addition to higher health and insurance rates, the average smoker spends $2,352 on tobacco products annually. For this same amount of money, a four-person family (with an average moderate-cost weekly grocery plan of $250) could eat for 2 and a half months.
Lifetime expenses:
According to WalletHub state-by-state analysis, on average, smoking costs a single user at least $1.1 million over the course of a lifetime. With this same amount of money, if invested rather than spent on cigarettes, and by only taking the dividend out, in 20 years with a 9% return, that money would be worth over $5.5 million, the dividend being nearly $42,000 per quarter.
Tobacco companies:
It costs tabacco companies only 6 cents to make a pack of cigarettes. With the average cost of a single pack being $7, tabacco industries make nearly 32 billion annually.

In a recent survey of current and former New York smokers, it was found that 81% of people would not hire a smoker to look after his or her children.  Additionally, 72% of verbalized that they think nonsmokers would be reluctant to date a smoker. And finally, 39% agreed that most people think less of smokers.
